A 30-minute stroll along Lincoln Avenue in Bellevue on Monday evening revealed a quiet business district still wearing its holiday colors. A barber swept the floor of his shop, closed for the day. A young man talked on his cellphone while moving briskly along the sidewalk. A woman walked her dog, who paused and sniffed every bench, trash can and light post. The second day of 2023 drew to a casual and unusually mild end.
