Pittsburgh Pride will show “No Fear” this weekend as the city kicks off Pride Month and marks the 50th anniversary of Pittsburgh’s first Pride Parade and Pride Week, held in 1973.
Pittsburgh Pride Revolution 2023: NO FEAR, the three-day festival celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community, begins Friday and will feature events taking place across Downtown, the North Side and Bloomfield. Activities will include vendors, a community march, and free concerts featuring local, national and international artists.
For the first time, all three Pittsburgh professional sports teams — the Pirates, Penguins and Steelers — will be represented at Pittsburgh Pride Revolution, including their mascots.
Preceding the festival, Aids Free Pittsburgh in partnership with True T Pittsburgh will offer Too Hot for July, the annual free HIV awareness event, at KLVN Coffee Lab in Homewood from 5-11 p.m. Thursday. It will feature local DJs, a vogue dance battle, free HIV testing, a health fair, and performances by DreamDoll, Lexa Terrestrial and Manny DiBiachi.
