Center of Life’s annual Summer Concert Series begins this week, bringing music to various locations on Thursdays throughout the season. All the concerts start at 6 p.m.
The series showcases the work of two of the nonprofit organization’s KRUNK Movement and jazz programs. The KRUNK Movement is a year-round youth production company for high school students that focuses on the elements of hip-hop through songwriting, production, art and technology, according to the center’s website. Center of Life’s Jazz program is an audition-only instrumental coaching program that encourages young musicians to explore self-expression using the language of music.
