Another weekend, another round of traffic disruptions. Here are the main projects drivers could encounter this weekend.
- Bethel Park — Work begins at 7 a.m. Friday to remediate a landslide on Stoltz Road. The road will be closed in both directions between Kings School Road and McConkey Road through late August. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation crews will stabilize the area and take steps to try to prevent future slides. Traffic will be detoured using Route 88 (Library Road) and Berryman Avenue.
- Parkway East — Motorists will face another weekend of traffic reduced to one lane in each direction between the Penn Hills exit and the bridge over Old William Penn Highway. The work, which involves reconstructing concrete bridge approach slabs and placing a latex coating on the surface, will run from 9 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday. The work is part of a $70.1 million project to upgrade the highway between Wilkins and Route 48 in Monroeville and will last until fall 2026.
- Carnegie — East Main Street will have single-land alternating traffic starting at 8 a.m. Friday for gas line work between Bell Avenue and Jane Street. The work by M. O’Herron for Peoples Gas will occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sept. 2.
